    The Importance of a Passport

A passport is an essential document for international travel. It proves your identity and citizenship and allows you to enter and exit foreign countries. If you’re traveling with children, it is important to make sure they have a passport as well. Without one, they may not be able to board the plane or cross the border. Also, keep in mind that a child’s passport is only valid for five years. After that, they will need to get a new one.

When Does a Child Require a Passport?

According to the U.S. Department of State, all children under the age of 16 must have their own passports. This includes infants and toddlers. If you are traveling with a child who is 15 years old or younger, you will need to present their passport at the airport or border crossing. If you do not have a passport for your child, you will not be able to travel.

There are a few exceptions to this rule. If you are traveling with a child who is 15 years old or younger and they have a passport that was issued when they were 16 years old or older, they do not need their own passport. Additionally, if you are traveling with a child who is 15 years old or younger and have a passport issued within the last five years, they do not need their own passport.

There are a few exceptions to this rule. If you are traveling to Canada, Mexico, or the Caribbean, your child may be able to use a birth certificate instead of a passport. However, it is always best to have a passport on hand just in case. It is also worth noting that some airlines may have their own age requirements for international travel. Be sure to check with the airline before you book your tickets. And if you have any other questions about passports, you can always contact the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate.

    To Conclude

The bottom line is that all children who are 15 years old or younger must have their passports to travel internationally. You may even contact an Atlanta passport agency to get more information about this process. Keep track of when your child’s passport was issued and renew it every five years! That way, you can be sure that your child will be able to travel with you no matter what!
